Happy Birthday Brian!

Yesterday, we celebrated Brian's 39th birthday.

My mom cooked dinner for us, and we had a little birthday celebration at her house.

When we got home, we gave him a gift.
Do you think he liked it?
It was only a couple of dvds that he wanted, but he was so excited!
Happy Birthday Brian!!!

Cowboy Cookies

We made our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe the other day.

Parker and Claire measured and did a lot of it by themselves.

So delicious!

Jonesborough Days

We enjoyed going to Jonesborough Days last week.

 Cotton Candy
 Inflatables

Do It Yourself Face Paint

Never too big for a ride in the train!

It's A Boy!

Last week, we went to a gender reveal party for Rich and Amanda's new baby.  Amanda had really cute decorations and food!

 We played some games!

We thought the baby was a girl, but we were wrong!

I can't wait to meet my new great-nephew!

4th of July

Who doesn't love the 4th of July???

This guy:
He doesn't go completely crazy, but fireworks definitely make him nervous!
We enjoyed swimming with some family and grilling hamburgers.

The kids and Max took turns wearing Papaw's old hat.
We got out in the rain to try to see some fireworks.

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

13 Years

Brian and I just had our 13th anniversary on July 1.  We went to Knoxville over the weekend to celebrate.

We stayed in a really great hotel downtown.  On our first day, we ate lunch at El Chico, shopped downtown, and saw a movie.

I got to make a little stop at Southern Market! So fun!
Dinner at our favorite restaurant ~ Altruda's!
Then we spent the evening listening to great live music down by the river.  The weather was perfect too!
The next day, we had our first ever visit to Trader Joe's.
Then West Town Mall and Home Goods of course!
For dinner, we ate at Chuy's.  We weren't super hungry so we just shared an appetizer sampler.  I have heard so many people talk about loving Chuy's, and we had never been there before.  I may have to give it another try because the service was bad and food was just average.  But you never know until you try, I guess!
I am so thankful for the best 13 years of my life! I'm looking forward to many more with the love of my life!
