MGCE

We had a wonderful time with our friends at the traditional "Murray Gibbons Christmas Extravaganza". The kids loved eating, playing, and exchanging their little gifties. Mostly it was just about being together with some great friends.

Welcome Back, Old Friend

I thought I'd share one of my favorite things with you. A couple of years ago, my sister-in-law gave me a gift basket for Christmas from Bath and Body Works. It was filled with lots of goodies that were all a scent called Sensual Amber. At first, I wasn't sure it was "my thang", but it quickly wooed me (it is quite sensual that way). I LOVE IT! I'm hooked.

I still buy other scents occasionally especially during summer. I tend to think of Sensual Amber as a wintry smell. I always go back to it! I love smelling it in the shower first thing in the morning. It just brightens my day and gives me a little wake up boost!

My supply of Sensual Amber had drastically and horrifically dwindled lately. Thankfully, my mom replenished it for me for Christmas.

And look what Santa brought me...
I'm not usually a perfume loving girl, but hey, it's Sensual Amber. What's not to love?
Do you have a favorite perfume or Bath and Body Works scent?

Look who has a loose tooth!

My baby has his first loose tooth! He is beyond excited! Parker was convinced that he would never lose a tooth, even though we assured him that his day would come. A new big boy tooth is even peeking through behind. I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy seeing the inside of Parker's mouth! I just couldn't help taking and posting the picture because this is big time news around here.
I'm very happy for my little man, but I have to confess to getting a little teary-eyed when I realized that soon I will never see that same baby smile again. Do they really have to grow up so fast?

Here Comes Santa Claus

We've had a wonderful Christmas Eve! Our night began at our church's Christmas Eve service. The children sang a few songs and rang the bells. After church, we went to my mom and dad's for our traditional Christmas Eve gathering. We always have a birthday cake (or cookie) for Jesus and sing Happy Birthday Jesus. It's one of my favorite traditions.
We eat TONS of food and then open gifts.

When we got back to our house, Parker and Claire had to get Santa's cookies and milk ready. Santa's favorite cookies are Cinnamon Jumbles ~ yum, yum!

And last but not least, they put Santa's special key outside so he can get in our house.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Speedway In Lights

Last night, we went on our annual trip to Speedway In Lights. Parker and Claire have been looking forward to it for weeks. They enjoy seeing all the beautiful light displays, but they mostly look forward to the rides and treats. Here they are while we were waiting to get in the line of cars. Their excitement is contagious!
Lots of rides!

Christmas traditions are wonderful!
