Claire Chat

From the backseat:

Claire: "Parker, I have an umbrella, and I'm not afraid to use it..."

In the car:
Brian: "We really need to do better about being on time to Lifegroup."
Claire: "Don't say WE, I had nothing to do with it."

Getting back in bed (after I woke her up and carried her downstairs during the tornado warnings):
Claire: "I really had a fun time with you tonight, Mama."

Caterpillar Collection

Parker and Claire have found three million caterpillars in our back yard. The first fifteen or so went in a plastic container for a few days. We finally convinced them to set them free!

Easter 2011

Parker and Claire left their Easter baskets by the front door in hopes that the Easter Bunny might stop by on his way down the bunny trail. Parker decided to leave a little note asking the Easter Bunny to leave some jellybeans for Mommy and Daddy. Very sweet!

Of course, Claire had to write a note too.

They were certainly not disappointed!

Claire and I made Easter cupcakes

Getting ready for an egg hunt!

Could they be under here???

Parker found an egg in the pool!

Pizza Casserole & Cheese Bread

My pizza casserole
This garlic cheese bread was DELICIOUS (and maybe just a wee bit fattening...)

Brian said it reminded him of the cheese bread that Grady's used to have. Does anybody remember that?

(I did make a few modifications to the original recipe.)

The Last First Tooth

Well, it happened...Claire lost her first tooth. She was thrilled!!! She had her first experience with the tooth fairy and got her first tooth dollar. I am so happy for her of course! However, I realized that this is the last first tooth ever to be lost in my little family. They just keep growing....

Charleston

After a few days in Savannah, we headed up to Charleston. The homes and gardens were so lovely! More trees!

Rainbow Row

I developed several plans in my head for sneaking on that cruise ship...

My lunch at 82 Queen was delicious ~ chicken salad (on a salad with raspberry vinaigrette)
Our little table

Isle of Palms

Windy (see: hair) but beautiful!
We were so thankful for a few days together!

Savannah

Brian and I spent a few days in Savannah during my Spring Break. We had never been to Savannah so we were excited to explore a new place. It was BEAUTIFUL! I have a deep, deep love for trees so I took lots of pictures of them. A little hidden doorway
So many old homes

Tybee Island lighthouse

We ate at Gerald's Pig and Shrimp for lunch. We had read lots of good reviews about it, but it was really just ok.

River Street

We found a little restaurant that we loved called Anna's. We liked it so much we ate there twice!
