Deck The Halls

Parker and Claire really enjoyed decorating our Christmas tree. They also helped me with other decorations and really loved seeing our Nativity scene come back out of it's box.
The decorating is almost finished. Sadly, we have a few items missing! I can't find my Snowman collection, and Parker is very distraught that a certain Jack Sparrow ornament has yet to be found. Brian assures me that all of the Christmas boxes came down from the attic so where oh where can they be???

A new Christmas decorating tradition? Why not?!?!!!!

If you've never experienced Greg's pizza, well... I'm sorry. Truly, truly sorry.

All That's Left Is The Indigestion

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with Brian's extended family. Major Turkey Talk

With a house full of Alabama and Kentucky fans, Brian felt the need to show his Tennessee pride on leftover day.

Slow Down November!

This month is flying by! Here's what we've been up to lately...

Parker was asked to represent our school at the school board meeting. He led the Pledge of Allegiance with another little girl. He did a fabulous job of course. Brian and I got so tickled when they introduced him because they said he is the son of Robyn (my first name) Murray and Edward Jones (the place Brian works). We started laughing and almost couldn't stop!
The principal gave him a thank you note.

The President of the School Board sent one too.

Last weekend, most of my family went to Nashville to see some friends play at the Grand Old Opry. I spent the night at my parents house to help my Dad while Mom was out of town. We took him to Pizza Hut.

Parker and Papaw

Well, hello there handsome.

Parker made a beak out of crust and insisted that I take his picture.

We went to the park last weekend too. I'm not sure how many more warm(ish) days we will have so we're trying to take advantage of them.

And last, but certainly not least...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY VERY SPECIAL FRIEND!

Without her, I wouldn't have this little sweetie to love on

Or this one...

And Parker wouldn't have her...

and that would be tragic!

I can't wait to see what kind of trouble we can get into this year. Brian and Josh may think they've figured out our shenanigans, so it's about time to shake things up a bit!!!

Halloween Fun!

Halloween at our house is always a fun event. These little figurines represent my two little goblins. Our Halloween tree

Parker the Pirate waiting on trick-or-treaters
(Parker had a skeleton costume, but at the last minute opted to wear last year's pirate costume)

Even though Claire was feeling bad, she really wanted to get dressed up. She even made sure Baby Sarah was ready for the evening.

Notice Parker carrying two buckets. Claire was worn out after about two houses.
Not to mention it was rainy!
By this point, she was O-V-E-R it! I took her back to our house to rest while Brian and Parker visited more houses.
I was feeling awful too, but I really didn't want to miss trick-or-treating with the kids. Brian looked at me and asked if I was dressed up as "flu-stricken mother". I told him I should have worn a pig nose so I could have been dressed as "swine flu".

Update from the Pig Farm

Three down, one to go...

Claire and I both started on the medicine yesterday because we both got worse. Parker started feeling bad this morning and developed a fever. Brian took him to the doctor this afternoon, and he's already had his first dose of medicine. The odds are stacked against Brian, but he's putting up a good fight.
