Claire Is 8!

Claire turned 8 on October 10.  I can't believe it!!!

 

The morning started with some birthday muffins.

 

 

She picked the usual poppyseed chicken and macaroni and cheese for her birthday dinner.

 Then Oreo Extravaganza for dessert!

 Parker wrapped up an empty chocolate syrup bottle as a gift.  She loved it. Ha!

 She wanted a new doll bed that would hold three dolls. 

 The night after her birthday, she had a few friends spend the night.

 

 We also had a little celebration with our family at Nana's house.

Happy Birthday To Me!

So it's no secret that I like to turn my birthday into a week long extravaganza.  So the weekend before my birthday we went to Pigeon Forge and Knoxville for the day.   

 

Then at some point before my birthday I also snuck in a little mini blizzard.

 On the morning of my birthday, we had a special breakfast of muffins and bacon.  Way better than my usual cereal!

 Can't get the picture to turn ~ oh well!

 We went out to eat on the night of my actual birthday.

 And we just happened upon an applesauce eating contest.  That applesauce never stood a chance!

 Presents!

 

 The next night I got to spend some time with Lisa.  Here she is peeking above "the bag".  

 I even had doughnuts at school from one of my students to celebrate!

It was a wonderful birthday ~ all week long! I am so blessed!
