Weekend Update

We had a fabulous weekend!

 

On Friday, we made pizza at home, then went to Krispy Kreme to celebrate National Doughnut Day.  There's nothing better than a Krispy Kreme doughnut than a FREE Krispy Kreme doughnut!

 

 On Saturday, we went swimming with Rachael, Riley, and Ethan.  Fun!

 On Sunday, Parker helped keep the babies at church.  All of the 3-5 grade children are serving one Sunday this month with the younger kids.  He did a great job!

 They also got to meet a World War II veteran who was visiting our church.

 Then we went out to lunch with Nana.

I have no pictures to prove it, but I also got to go out to dinner with MLBSG (Rachael, Lisa, & Staci).  Crazy Tomato ~ great food and friends!

Water Park!

Yesterday, we went a new aquatic center near where we live.  I have always loved water slides and basically any kind of pool.  My kids are exactly the same.  Everybody had fun!

We've been to a couple of our church's softball games recently.  It's really fun to cheer for them!

My sweet blog friend Sophie wrote a book! Today is the official release day, so go buy it! NOW!

If you read Sophie's blog, BooMama Blog, then you know how hilarious she is.  Her blog is one of the very first blogs I ever read, and it's still one of the few I make sure to read every day.  Her new book is just like her blog.  It's full of southern stories that will have you laughing and crying all at the same time. 

 

 A while back, Sophie was sweet enough to send me an advance copy. What a honor!  Of course, I was beyond thrilled just to find out I was going to get a sneak peek at the fabulous book.  Imagine my surprise when the package arrived full of fun goodies along with the book.

Parker's 10th Birthday Party

 

Parker (finally) had his birthday party on Saturday.  We waited on purpose because we wanted to give the pool time to warm up.  I'm so glad we did because every Saturday in May was either cold and/or rainy.  Saturday was a perfect day for a pool party.
