Just Some Honest Thoughts

"We are not doubting that God will do the best for us.  We are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be'.    ~ C.S.Lewis

I came across this quote about six months ago.  It really hit home with me.  As someone who has struggled with worry issues throughout my life, which really just boils down to trust and control issues, this quote expressed how I feel.  I DO believe that God is in control.  I DO believe that He loves me and is really quite crazy about me. I DO believe that He knows what's best and works all things together for our good and His glory.  I truly don't doubt those things.  So why do I worry?  Why is it still so hard for me to trust at times?  In my pitiful little human mind, what I think is best is rarely what He KNOWS is best.  Sometimes what's best is painful and I may never I must choose to trust.

Anybody else relate?

I haven't ever seen this quote but I can totally relate to it. Its all about taking that leap of faith. If it is a huge leap- there may be some painful bumps along the way but then God never promised us a smooth ride. But oh, when we get to the place we KNOW God has called us to, we find a peace that only God can give us. There is a certain type of Joy we feel when we know we have been obedient to God and His perfect will.
