Another Snow Day

Parker was out of school again today (and they've already called off school for tomorrow too)!

After the fun in the snow, we worked on Parker's 100 Days of School project. He decided to make a snowman with 100 cotton balls.
Of course, Claire wanted to make a project too!

M is for Michele

I was catching up on Meredith's blog this afternoon and saw this fun meme. Here's the deal:If you want to play, leave a comment on this post letting me know, and I’ll assign you a letter. You write about ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter, and post it at your place. When people comment on your list, you give them a letter, and the chain continues on and on...Meredith gave me the letter "M".

1. M&Ms (peanut)
2. Movies (especially at the theater)

3. Magazines

4. Myrtle Beach, SC

5. Mr. Pibb (NOT Dr. Pepper)

6. Magic Kingdom

7. Mexican Food

8. Music (especially concerts)

9. My Minivan
10. My Family (of course!)

Please let me introduce you

To Mike and Karen
and to Antoine and Amy

Parents with their children

Parker saw this ugly, UGLY two-headed dragon a couple of months before Christmas. I did NOT like it at all! Of course, Parker loved it. Santa brought it for Christmas (against my better judgment). Apparently these dragons were assigned names yesterday. The biggest dragons will henceforth be called Mike and Karen. FYI, Karen is the one sticking her head out in front. I would like to take this opportunity to say that these dragons in no way resemble Parker's Uncle Mike and Aunt Karen.
Then Parker moved on to name the baby two-headed dragon. They now answer to Amy and Antoine. They also do not resemble Aunt Amy in any way! However, we aren't sure who Antoine is and why Uncle Mark was left out of the naming process.
If I were Uncle Mark, I think I would take it as a compliment!

Now I would like to introduce...
Saber Tooth Pirate Octopus
He eats dragon jellyfish like this one

AND Regular Pumas like this one
I sure am glad he doesn't eat irregular pumas! That might be a little odd!
Parker's imagination never ceases to amaze me!

Baby it's cold outside

We may be past Christmas music these days, but this song title is very appropriate for today. At 8:30 this morning, when I took Claire to preschool, my car registered the temperature outside as 9 degrees. The wind chill was even lower than that. I'm so thankful it hasn't been very windy. That would truly make it unbearable.

Parker was out of school today due to "extreme temperatures" so he got to run around with me all morning. He loves to "go places" with me. One of his biggest complaints about starting kindergarten this year is that he might miss out on "going places". Today at lunch he said, "I love town". Makes us sound like we live in the little house on the prairie. "Come on honey, let's saddle up ol' Nelly and ride into town."

Sesame Street Live

Claire and I went to Sesame Street Live this morning! Claire loved it! She especially enjoyed Cookie Monster. I think she has a lot in common with him!

Gotta love that fake smile!

This sweet girl noticed these balloons

But unfortunately, I didn't want to take out a second mortgage to finance that purchase!

His Name Is Tim, But You Can Call Him Josh

The purpose of Way Back Wednesday and Think Back Thursday is to add in some pictures to my blog from the past (before I started blogging). That way if I never get caught up on scrapbooking, at least the memories will be recorded on here.
This is Parker in September at his Kindergarten Teddy Bear Picnic. They were supposed to bring a teddy bear to school, so Parker took the one he's holding. That teddy bear had never been named before that day (to my knowledge). His teacher told me that earlier in the day she asked all the children to introduce his/her bear. Parker stood up and said, "His name is Tim, but you can call him Josh". Who knows where he came up with that?!?!
