Lucy Cate's First Birthday!

Lucy Cate turned one! She had a precious Dr. Seuss birthday party complete with the Cat in the Hat (who looked an awful lot like her Grammy).

We loved being able to celebrate with her!

New Wheels

Parker and Claire both got new bikes a while back.  Parker had finally decided that he wanted to learn to ride a bike.  He is probably a little older than average for learning, but if you know him at all then you know he has to decide for himself.  He's very cautious by nature, so it has been a scary thing for him in the past to just let go and try! When he finally decided he was going to do it, he did! Like it was no big deal! Love that sweet boy! 

Claire is very adventurous by nature and sure doesn't want her brother doing something that she can't do.  However, it's been a bit more challenging for her.  She's starting to get the hang of it and will be speeding off on her own with just a little more practice.  I'm so proud of both of them for trying and persevering!

Claire was also helping our neighbor ride his bike.

Before long, we had this scene in front of our house!

I'm sorry I've been MIA lately! I am just SO BUSY! I promise I'll be back soon.  I have tons of stuff to post, and I can't stand getting behind!

MLBSG

I really enjoyed hanging out with MLBSG the other night.  We always have fun, but this time was extra special because one of us is moving away.  Of course, we will definitely still see each other when she is in town.  And I may already be making secret plans for a trip to her new town! I'm really excited for her family's new adventure, but I will miss them being around these parts.

Family Time

My cousin Elisabeth came in to visit from Kentucky for a few days this week.  Parker and Claire loved swimming and playing nonstop with her daughter Sara Beth. 

 Megan took the opportunity to train for the Olympic swimming team.  Look out 2016!

Then lots of family got together for dinner.

  I looked kind of rough from a full day of swimming, cooking, and visiting! This is the only picture I got of Elisabeth and me.

It was a really nice visit.  We just wish we could see them more!
