It's Myrtle Beach week on the blog! I have lots of pictures to share, so I'm going to break them up into restaurants we like, things to do, a review of the place we stayed, etc. Today, I'm just sharing some general pictures from our trip including our time down on the beach!
We loaded up the van, and our sweet little Max the Furry Murray wanted to go with us. He always tries to convince us to take him. I really hate leaving him behind, but he's always in great hands with Caleb, house sitter and pet sitter extraordinaire.
One of our many Murray traditions is to eat Chicken in a Biskit crackers as a snack on the way to any vacation. They are actually pretty fattening, so I never buy them at home. (I used to hate these things, but I've decided they are an acquired taste. Now I love them! Also...I discovered they are made with real chicken. Who knew that?!?!)
Another tradition while traveling is to eat lunch at Zaxby's. Yum!
We also spent some time in the great pools at our resort.
We love the pier!
Another beach tradition ~ Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
I really don't enjoy being out in the ocean, so I spent a lot of time here...
When I was a little girl, I wasn't afraid of sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, etc. I loved jumping waves with my dad. In fact, those are some of my best memories. Unfortunately, as an adult, my fear often wins. We did have a CLOSE encounter last year with a shark, and we actually spotted one a little further out this year too. However, I made myself go out there and play at least a little every day. EEEK!
We did lots of fun stuff throughout the week that I'm going to write about tomorrow, but we also spent some time just hanging out in our room.
Making memories of course!!!
